Christmas Map Garland & Holiday Fun at our House

This project was totally inspired by duct tape and denim's peace-earth-christmas-banner-globe
You should check it out if you haven't seen it already.
Here is my version:

My favorite map piece is the compass.

This was a simple and easy project. It was easily completed while watching TV. If you like the chalkboard sign, you can check it out here.

I'm so thankful for Pinterest and all the ideas pinned there. The kids & I had a fun time this week trying out some of these pins.

Making 3 Ingredient Peppermint Pie with the kiddos. They LOVED using a hammer to smash the candy canes. It was yummy! Luckily we have one left in the freezer for later. :)

Baking up a batch Double Chocolate Peppermint Biscotti. The only drawback is that these go way.too.fast! So yummy! Seriously! Way too fast!
Pair this with Gingerbread Spice Coffee Creamer. YUM!

Making Warm Apple Cider & Rum Punch. This also goes way.too.fast! Delish!

I'm a star nut and just adore the star shape in these apple slices.

And breaking out the Christmas decorations. :)
We aren't doing a tree this year since our youngest is mobile and very curious. Instead we put a couple mini trees on the mantle and some scrappy wood decorations outside. click here to see

Watching our favorite Christmas movies --- vintage style, ya know, on VHS.

And some holiday reading favorites.

Its been unusually warm here hitting the high 50's and low 60's most days. It looks like Christmas inside but not outside. We're expecting snow this weekend. It'll be nice to get into that "white Christmas" mode.

I'll be baking another batch of that Double Chocolate Peppermint Biscotti while getting a fire going. :)
